How to solve the problem of wine bottles being fragile?

2024-06-21

1. The main features of glass bottles are: non-toxic, odorless, transparent, beautiful, good barrier properties, airtight, rich and common materials, low price, and can be used repeatedly. Glass bottles are also heat-resistant, pressure-resistant, and washable. They can be sterilized at high temperatures and stored at low temperatures. The main raw materials of glass bottles are natural minerals, quartz, caustic soda, limestone, etc. Glass bottles have a high degree of transparency and corrosion resistance, and will not change the nature of the material when in contact with most chemicals.

2. The emergence of FRP solves the problem of fragile glass wine bottles. FRP, or fiber reinforced plastic, generally refers to reinforced plastics with glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin and phenolic resin matrix, with glass fiber or its products as reinforcing materials, called glass fiber reinforced plastics, or wine bottle manufacturers call it FRP. Due to the different types of resins used, there are polyester FRP, epoxy FRP, phenolic FRP, which are light and hard, non-conductive, stable in function, high in mechanical strength, corrosion-resistant, and can replace steel to make glass bottles and custom-made machine parts and automobiles, ship shells, etc.

 3. Glass is hard but fragile, has good transparency and high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and other functions. At the same time, steel is very hard and not easy to break, and also has the characteristics of high temperature resistance. So people began to think that if a pickle bottle can be made that has the hardness, high temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance of glass, and has the same hard and unbreakable characteristics of steel, then this material will definitely be very useful.
