Why Does The Glass Turn White?

This could be mainly due to two reasons:

Try cleaning glass with vinegar. If they come back to normal, it's most likely due to an improperly adjusted softener.

If the whitish color cannot be removed, the glass has been corroded. In this case, the damage to the crystal is permanent.

The origin of this coloration lies in the composition of the crystals. It will deteriorate due to high temperature washing and dishwasher detergent. There are protective glass products that can help reduce or eliminate this effect.
